How to Play Rechrysalis

All controls have been redesigned to work on mobile with touch inputs.

Controller

The "Controller's" (called that because they control the units) are the yellow bee keeper's representing the ones playing the game. The game is won when the enemy controller's life reaches 0. The player life bar being on the top left, and the AI on the top right. Move the controller by clicking on the map. Stop the controller by pressing 'Spacebar', or click the stop button. Units automatically follow the controller, and will only attack when the controller is not moving.

Rotating Triangle

You can rotate the formation of your units by clicking a unit, and dragging it to a new position within a ring surrounding your controller.

Unit Attacks

Units automatically attack enemy units in range if their controller is not moving. They will automatically target the one they do the most damage to. Unless you are focus firing one. You can focus fire by clicking the focus fire button on the bottom right, or pressing the 'S' key, then clicking that enemy unit.

Unit Death

When a unit's health reaches 0 from incoming attacks, that controller loses the life cost of the unit, and the unit automatically turns into an egg. A timer happens, and then it begins regenerating into a new base unit. If an egg takes attack damage, that damage is directly subtracted from the controller's life.

Upgrading Units

Every time a unit attacks, they generate mana, the number below the life bar. This mana can be used to upgrade any unit to one of two unit's with better stats than a base unit, and sometimes an ability. To upgrade a unit, click and hold on the unit, and release inside the 1 or 2 icon. Or press the 'R' key and click the 1 or 2. If you upgrade a living unit, it's life cost, relative to its remaining HP, is subtracted from the controller life. Because there is a timer that happens once when a unit turns into an egg. It's more efficient to upgrade units that are currently eggs.

Unit Abilities

Some upgraded units have abilities, this is indicated as an orb beside the unit. They have different effects, ranging from timed buffs, to skill shots that drain enemy life, or generate mana. You can activate an ability by double clicking on the unit, or pressing the hotkey relative to the unit: "Q", "W", or "E".
